Health Insurance Exchanges by State

Because knowing empowers you!

Insurance is complicated, healthcare is complicated. Sometimes it’s hard to even know where to start when you are looking for coverage. Here we’ve listed, alphabetically, the public exchange residents of each state can use to shop for health insurance. In some cases, we have listed alternative tools when available.

The Affordable Care Act established the Federal Exchange where consumers could shop for and compare plans, complete an application for assistance paying for coverage and enrolling. The law also established a process for states to create their own exchanges. Some states have chosen to do so, and some have not.
